Photos - Cebu (Philippines)

Cebu is a province in the central part of the Philippines, with one large island (Cebu Island) and more than 100 surrounding islands. The capital of Cebu is Cebu City, the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines, where Ferdinand Magellan first set in. Magellan was killed in a tussle with the local natives in nearby Mactan Island, east of Cebu City. Today, Mactan Island is connected to Cebu City via two modern bridges. The international airport is also located there.
