Living BuddhaWestern term for Tibetan Buddhist leaders who are considered incarnations and reincarnations of buddhas actively working for human salvation. Mongolia's Jebtsundamba Khutuktu was one of the many Living Buddhas. Living Buddhas are also called "incarnate Buddhas".
